Medical Director - Radiology & Radiation Oncology
Job description
Medical Director - Radiology & Radiation Oncology, Home based biotech
Currently looking for a Medical Director to support 3x Global Phase II and III clinical trials across radiotherapy and radiodiagnostics. This is home based in Germany (must live in Germany, working from home in a different country will not work). One of the strongest imaging and radiation oncology pipelines in Europe right now, with a great team and great science.
To be transparent - this role is very focused on medical monitoring (70%). If you enjoy Medical Monitoring and radiopharmaceutical / radiation oncology drug and device development - please keep reading :)
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing Medical Monitoring support across the various radiotherapy and radiodiagnostics portfolios.
- Collaborate with the team to review and interpret clinical trial data — including imaging endpoints, dosimetry data, and radiological assessments — and provide recommendations for future development plans.
- Support the Senior Medical Director and Clinical Development heads with ongoing hands-on activities needed for successful clinical research.
- Support the operational aspects of clinical trials, including protocol development, investigator selection, medical and study monitoring — with particular attention to radiation safety, imaging protocol standardisation, and radiological adverse event monitoring.
- Contribute to the preparation and review of clinical trial-related documentation, such as INDs, investigator brochures, and regulatory submissions — including device and radiotracer/radiopharmaceutical-specific dossiers where applicable.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medical physics, nuclear medicine, translational imaging research, medical affairs, and regulatory affairs, to ensure alignment of clinical strategies and efficient communication.
Requirements:
- MD required — specialisation or significant experience in Radiology, Radiation Oncology, or Nuclear Medicine strongly preferred.
- Location: Germany (working from another country will not work. Relocating to Germany is fine).
- Language: English
- Ideal: You have Radiotherapy, Diagnostic Radiology, or Nuclear Medicine experience.
- Ideal: You have Medical Monitoring experience.
- For example: You have extensive clinical Radiation Oncology or Radiology experience but have no industry Medical Monitoring experience - this could still work.
- For example: You have extensive Medical Monitoring experience in a different indication and would like to move into radiotherapy or radiodiagnostics - this can work.
The offer:
- Full Working from Home Flexibility (no 2-3 days a month to office, purely remote Germany).
- Pivotal time to join the company - with excellent results published thus far.
- Work as a partner to the Executives and opportunity to progress your career.
- Inclusive, friendly and supportive working team.
- An environment that is supportive of young families.
